The first, after a break, season of women’s competition has ended. As a result of the initiative of Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Estonia and Slovakia, EPBF resumed the cycle of the tournaments for women.

129 ladies took part in the cycle. Natalia Sireoshtan from Russia became the winner (3.197 pts). Second place went to Caroline Roos from Sweden (3.161 pts) and the third place to Sandra Baumgartner from Austria (2.849 pts). 5 women from Eastern Europe, beside the winner, got to the best 16: Anna Mizhirina (Russia) – 5th place (2.710 pts), Katarzyna Wesolowska (Poland) – 9th place (2.253 pts), Ana Gradisnik (Slovenia) – 11th place (2.183 pts) and Oliwia Czuprynska (Poland) – 12th place (2.120 pts). Ladies were collecting their points during 8 tournaments including 3 European Championships.

Women competition was canceled few years ago due to the economical issues. We didn’t have to wait long for the results. None of ladies from Europe was able to equally compete in prstigious, international tournaments beside Jasmin Ouschan and those who immigrated to USA. It is time now to fix the damages caused by the wrong decision.
