In the World Championships in 8-ball - Fujairah we have 5 representants of Eastern Europe.
Jasmin Ouschan from Austria won the first part of voting on the 2011 EPBF Player of the Year.
European Champion collected 491 votes and it is 113 votes more than last year. The second place fell to Junior World Champion, Marek Kudlik from Poland, who got 407 votes. The other players got much less votes: J. Tahti – 147; R. Souquet – 121; O. Czupryńska – 55; H. See – 20. Generally the number of online votes cast 1113. It is 90 votes more than last year. Votes of national federations and EPBF partners will decide about the final victory. The results will be announced during the European Championships in Luxembourg.
The Championships of Russia in Pool Billiard 2011 were dominated by well-known players.
Ewa Laurance, after an incredible final match, defeated one of the favorites - Allison Fisher.
Dutchman, Alex Lely, Ex-European Champion is instructing players from Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Karol Skowerski and Radoslaw Babica won today in the qualification event for WPA 8-Ball Championship 2012.
They appeared to be the best two among 27 players from Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia.
The capital of Slovakia was hosting the players of the Slovakia Cup, which took place on 14th January 2012.
The winner of the tournament -Jaroslav Polach defeated Jakub Koniar in the final game.

This years Estonian Pool Championships were held at the Baribal Poolclub in Tallinn. Estonian Champions were determined in 14.1, 8- and 9-ball in men, women, junior and senior divisions. In order to determine the ultimate champion all matches were played in single elimination format.
Konrad Piekarski , 18 years old player of Metal Fach LP Sokółka Club, received the main prize for the winner of Polish pool billiard ranking.
Together with his father – coach Leszek Piekarski drove out with new Fiat Punto from Maredi Car Showroom. Konrad Piekarski and Radosław Babica, each of them collected 322 pts, during 12 tournaments organized in 2011. The gold medal, which Piekarski won in straight pool during the last day of Polish Championship, had decided about that he got the first place. Tomasz Kapłan with 317 pts was situated on the 3 rd position. Till the very last moment it was impossible to indicate the player who could be definitely ranked on the first position.
In 2009 Mateusz Śniegocki won Opel Corsa and in 2010 Radosław Babica won Chevrolet Spark.
