Jaroslav Tarnovetsky won World championship in Kemerovo

Incredibly wide geography of participants was the first surprise of the World Cup in Kemerovo. 62 players came to join the tournament (against 98 in 2012). They came from 28 countries what was a unique situation in "Russian" billiard.

EBC PYRAMID TOUR - BERLIN

The new cycle of EBC Pyramid Tour started in Berlin. 36 players competed in Pyramide Club. Roman Dictel, who defeated Vaniamin Yakovlev, became the winner. Gaik Aratunian won the bronze medal.

Ladislav Śramek died

We would like to inform, that on 23rd January 2013 Ladislav Sramek died.  “Laco” was a president of Slovakian Billiard Federation for many years. He was also the founder of the European Billiard Council.

World Pool Masters - Kielce 2012 in TV

The end of season in Bulgaria

Bulgarian Billiard Federation has finished the sport season. There were no surprises in the final 2012 ranking. The favourites got a big advantage over other players. Congratulations to all sportsmen.

New EBC sports calendar 2013

EBC is planning to organize several dozens of international tournaments in 2013. The venues of Dynamic Best and Baltic League are known. EBC Summer Training Centre, which will take place in Bulgaria, is a new initiative.

New partner of EBC

A.T.D. BILIARD GROUP Company from Bucharest became the next partner of European Billiard Council.

"We are glad that we gained 12 partners during the first year of our activity. I know that another companies and organizations will join us in 2013. It proves that our work has been appreciated" said the president of EBC Marcin Krzeminski.

376 players said „No” to doping

Polish Billiard Association organized events in 20 billiard clubs which aim was to promote fighting with doping in sport. It is an initiative of World Confederation of Billiard Sports.

Tournaments called ‘Play True – Say No to Doping’ took place in Warsaw, Debica, Krasnik, Bialystok, Lublin, Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Bydgoszcz, Cracow, Tczew, Kielce, Lubostron, Zduny, Lodz, Elblag, Tarnow, Mragowo, Bielsko-Biala, Rokietnica and Walbrzych. Players competed in pool, snooker and pyramid. 376 athletes participated in those events. Education materials containing information about the harmfulness of performance-enhancing drugs and the rules of sportsmen anti-doping controls were given to the participants. General sponsor of the action, which was supported by The Polish Commission Against Doping in Sport from Warsaw, was Mak Marketing Company from Kielce.  The tournament in Poland was the biggest of this kind billiard action in the world.

The next meeting EPBF-EBC

The meeting, concerning the possibilities of cooperation between European Pocket Billiard Federation and European Billiard Council, lasted three and a half hour. Gre Leenders and Udo Lampey from EPBF, Marcin Krzeminski and Lev Jaroslavtsev from EBC and Gregory Koblenz – the owner of Dynamic Billiard Company took part in the meeting in Willingen.
