Polish Billiard Association organized events in 20 billiard clubs which aim was to promote fighting with doping in sport. It is an initiative of World Confederation of Billiard Sports.
Tournaments called ‘Play True – Say No to Doping’ took place in Warsaw, Debica, Krasnik, Bialystok, Lublin, Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Bydgoszcz, Cracow, Tczew, Kielce, Lubostron, Zduny, Lodz, Elblag, Tarnow, Mragowo, Bielsko-Biala, Rokietnica and Walbrzych. Players competed in pool, snooker and pyramid. 376 athletes participated in those events. Education materials containing information about the harmfulness of performance-enhancing drugs and the rules of sportsmen anti-doping controls were given to the participants. General sponsor of the action, which was supported by The Polish Commission Against Doping in Sport from Warsaw, was Mak Marketing Company from Kielce. The tournament in Poland was the biggest of this kind billiard action in the world.
